The New Victory Band was one of many bands who tried to find new ways of playing English country dance music in the 1970s.
The line up boasted Pete and Chris Coe, John and Suzy Adams, Roger and Helen Watson, Ian and Linda Wordsworth and others.
They took their name from recordings released by Woolworths in the late 1920s and early 1930s. Though many bands recorded
for the department store chain they were all called The Victory Band.
